My first job out of college was in advertising. From there, I moved into publishing, which lead me to the fashion industry. But, it wasn't until I entered the world of food & wine that I found my career.
For the last 12 years I have been honing my skills as a communications specialist and independent consultant for food and beverage clients. Over the years, I have developed and implemented integrated marketing and communications programs for European regional wine councils and associations, launched new products and packaging designs for iconic global brands, and provided strategic and creative counsel for domestic and international wine and spirits companies.
As Founder & President of Silver Lining Communications, I manage a team of industry experts and work closely with our advisory board members who provide additional guidance and support to our clients.
I have been lucky enough to participate in harvest at Chateau Cheval Blanc in Bordeaux, France and Cantine Russo in Etna, Sicily. And, I am a member of the Ordre des Companions du Beaujolais.
We look at where your business is today verses where you would like it to be, and develop the best strategy for getting you there. Then we work to craft key messages that will resonate with consumers and help them understand your brand's value and core values.
We conduct active media outreach and routinely pitch specific story ideas to local journalists and major national print and online publications. We assist in sending media samples and scheduling "desk-sides" to keep your brand on the radar of key journalists and to help secure media placements.
We create dynamic and buzz-worthy events designed to increase awareness of your brand using our network of contacts and personal relationships with industry insiders and third-party providers.
We provide creative direction, develop engaging user experiences and deliver compelling brand stories to consumers across all digital platforms.
We help identify and coordinate partnerships and cross-promotional opportunities with corporations, charities, media outlets, non-profit organizations, etc. in order to increase your brands visibility.
We manage the overall vision of a design project: concept, look, feel, imagery and messaging to create attractive and distinctive websites, labels, POS and other marketing materials to tell your brand's story.
Mollie enrolled in The Culinary Institute of America and graduated at the top of her class. She returned to the restaurant world to work as head sommelier at Tribeca Grill, where she was responsible for maintaining a Wine Spectator Grand Award-winning wine list. Following Tribeca Grill, Mollie moved to the distribution side of the business, and is currently the Director of Sales and Business Development for V.O.S. Selections in New York and New Jersey. From gardening to raising animals to baking, David was immersed in every aspect of food since a young age as the son of Portuguese immigrants. At home in the United States, food remained the backbone of family life thanks to his mother’s garden and fruit trees and his father’s homemade wine. After excelling at baseball throughout high school, Santos turned to the culinary arts and graduated from Johnson & Wales University in 2001. He then traveled throughout Europe and South America, soaking up the culinary heritage of the visited countries and their cuisines rooted in peak quality seasonal ingredients. Driven by the same over-achieving characteristics that served him well in baseball, Santos took his culinary training to the next level, working at Bouley and Per Se, as well as at New Jersey’s most acclaimed restaurants: Nicholas and The Ryland Inn. By launching Um Segredo, a series of supper clubs hosted at his Roosevelt Island home, Santos established his own culinary voice and quickly developed a cult following. In 2012, he opened Louro in the West Village to much acclaim. Santos has been a guest chef at the Charleston Wine & Food Festival, Food Network New York City Wine & Food Festival, New Jersey Wine & Food Festival, Taste Talks, Indie Chefs Austin and more. He has appeared on CNN, Fox TV’s Good Day New York, CBS New York, Heritage Radio and Vice TV.
