Mollie enrolled in The Culinary Institute of America and graduated at the top of her class. She would go on to work at acclaimed restaurants like Payard Patisserie and Bistro and Pondicherry in New York City. Battenhouse's move into wine began with a part-time job at Joshua Wesson's Best Cellars wine shop in Manhattan. Battenhouse found her home in wine at the store; what started as a part-time gig turned into an eight-year tenure. She returned to the restaurant world to work as head sommelier at Tribeca Grill, where she was responsible for maintaining a Wine Spectator Grand Award-winning wine list. Following Tribeca Grill, Mollie moved to the distribution side of the business, and is currently the Director of Sales and Business Development for V.O.S. Selections in New York and New Jersey. Mollie is also an Advanced Sommelier with the Court of Master Sommeliers. In her free time, Mollie is a WineRing Wine Expert, she teaches classes at The International Wine Center, swims, and trains for half-marathons.
From gardening to raising animals to baking, David was immersed in every aspect of food since a young age as the son of Portuguese immigrants. At home in the United States, food remained the backbone of family life thanks to his mother’s garden and fruit trees and his father’s homemade wine. After excelling at baseball throughout high school, Santos turned to the culinary arts and graduated from Johnson & Wales University in 2001. He then traveled throughout Europe and South America, soaking up the culinary heritage of the visited countries and their cuisines rooted in peak quality seasonal ingredients. Driven by the same over-achieving characteristics that served him well in baseball, Santos took his culinary training to the next level, working at Bouley and Per Se, as well as at New Jersey’s most acclaimed restaurants: Nicholas and The Ryland Inn. By launching Um Segredo, a series of supper clubs hosted at his Roosevelt Island home, Santos established his own culinary voice and quickly developed a cult following. In 2012, he opened Louro in the West Village to much acclaim. Santos has been a guest chef at the Charleston Wine & Food Festival, Food Network New York City Wine & Food Festival, New Jersey Wine & Food Festival, Taste Talks, Indie Chefs Austin and more. He has appeared on CNN, Fox TV’s Good Day New York, CBS New York, Heritage Radio and Vice TV.
Lane is an attorney admitted in New York and New Jersey with over 20 years of combined legal and compliance experience supporting domestic start-ups as well as established international organizations interested in expanding their markets in the U.S. and abroad. Lane also has expertise in the non-profit sector, supporting their unique corporate governance, fund raising, and foreign aid goals under U.S. and international laws, rules, and regulations. When not wearing “a suit” Lane can be found in her art studio preparing works on paper and canvas for local art shows and sale.
